ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION  

The Thai society of Gynaecologic Endoscopists (TSGE) invites you to submit an abstract for an oral, video or poster presentation. The theme this year:

 

Endometriosis and uterine diseases: From Basic Science to Medication and Surgery

 

The conference will feature a wide range of exciting talks, discussions, and networking opportunities with experts, specialists, and up-and-coming leaders in the field of Endometriosis and Gynecology.

 

The submission period is until 31 July 2019. All abstract submissions should use the online Submission Form.

KEY DATES

  • Deadline for Abstract Submission: 31 July, 2019

  • Notification of Abstract Acceptance: 1-7 August, 2019

  • Registration and payment of accepted author before: 15 August 2019 (in order to be included in the program of ACE 2019)

PRESENTATION REQUIREMENTS          

  • Presenting authors are responsible for their own registration, travel, and hotel costs.
     

  • Any presenter who is unable to attend should arrange for another qualified individual to present the paper/poster in question. If such a change is necessary, please notify our conference team.

SUBMISSION OPTIONS                                                                 

Individual Presentation                                                                               

 

  • Oral Presentation

  • Video Presentation

  • Poster Presentation

  • All abstracts must be submitted via the ACE 2019 website ONLY.

  • All abstracts must be written in English, including the title, content, names of the authors, affiliations, figures and graphs.

  • Abstracts should contain original material that has neither been published nor presented at any other international meetings at the time of submission. In addition, abstracts should not be submitted to other international conferences which has taken place before the ACE 2019. However, abstracts submitted to, or presented at, local and national meetings may be submitted. If applicable, the abstract should state: "This research has been approved by an ethical committee".

  • The Scientific Committee of the ACE 2019 reserves the right to accept or to refuse abstracts or to designate abstracts either oral, video or poster presentation and to choose a suitable session for each abstract. The authors’ preference  the presentation type and theme will be taken into account.of

Copyright & Legal Obligation

 

  • All information in the abstract submission, including authors’ names, affiliations, author order list, and the content of abstract, will be exposed in the congress publications.

  • The contributor carries legal obligations of the abstract; any violation to a third party’s right will be the responsibility of the contributor him/herself.

  • ACE 2019 has the copyright to use the abstract in the for scientific purposes without any prior notice to the contributors or authors.

Instructions for Oral Presentation

FORMAT

Title

  • Must be all CAPITAL letter

  • NO acronym, ending punctuation or quotation mark

  • Your name, co-author, institute or hospital should also be displayed on the poster which should be surname-last format, initial capital/ lower case, NOT all capitals.
     

Content Layout 

  • Logically structured from top to bottom, or  easily-to-follow logical structured

  • One table, figure or graph can be included in one abstract and must be cited in the abstract text.

  • A table, figure or graph should be uploaded in our submission system in JPEG, or PNG file format.

 

Limitation

  • Title: MAXIMUM OF 40 words

  • Content:  NO EXCEED 350 words.

  • The maximum file size of each graph/ image is 500 KB

  • The maximum pixel size of the graph/ image is 600(w) x 800(h) pixel.

  • submissions exceeding this threshold will be rejected without exception**

 

 STRUCTURE
 

Aims and objective

  • Begin with a clear, concise statement of the precise objective or question presented in the study. 

 

Methods and material

  • Indicate the measurement(s) of primary study outcome which has been planned before data collection begins. If the manuscript does not report the main planned-outcomes of a study, this fact should be stated and the reason should be indicated.

  • State clearly whether the hypothesis, which was being tested, was formulated during or after data collection.

  • Explain some outcomes or measurements which might be unfamiliar to the general medical readership.

 

Results

  • Describe the methods of assessing patients and state the key results; this section must include data, even if preliminary.

  • Data should be presented as concisely as possible in the form of tables, graphs, charts or figures (where applicable)

 

Conclusion

  • Discusses the interpretation of results, clinical applications and their significance with reference to other cited work.

  • The final paragraph should include a concise, succinct statement which summaries the significance of the results in terms of the original hypothesis and explains any unexpected results

  • Advice, if additional study is required before this information, should be used in clinical settings. 

 

Miscellaneous 

  • Only up to FIVE authors including a presenting author will be listed in each abstract.

  • Must be up-to-date, even if the topic or images refer to old or historical procedures

  • Confidentiality of the sample patient is crucially vital.

  • Contain contact information of main author

  • Author and co-authors’ affiliation should contain institution, city and Country.

Please be sure to submit your abstract first by follow the oral presentation instruction. Then please send an e-mail to the administrator/committee with information of your abstract registration number

  • NO longer than 6 minutes

 

Video Format

Video Quality 

  • Videos must be of good visual quality.

  • Videos should not be lower than 720×480 resolutions.

  • For NON-SURGICAL videos, be sure all graphs, charts and statistics are clearly readable and verbally described.

Video Narration

Step 1 :

  • Please upload the video to Google drive. 

 

Step 2 :

  • Please send an e-mail to the Administrator/Scientific Committee with information of URL download and download password via scientific@ace2019thailand.com

 

Step 3 :

  • the Administrator/Scientific Committee will send you a confirmation e-mail

 

Miscellaneous 

  • Only up to FIVE authors including a presenting author will be listed in each abstract.

  • Must be up-to-date, even if the topic or images refer to old or historical procedures

  • Confidentiality of the sample patient is crucially vital.

Instructions for Poster Presentation

Size

Height 150 cm

Width  90 cm.

 

File type

.pdf

 

Title

  • Must be the SAME as in the submitted abstract.

  • Must be all CAPITAL LETTER

  • NO acronym, ending punctuation or quotation mark

  • Should located at the top of the poster.

  • Your name, co-author, institute or hospital should also be displayed on the poster.

  • 48 to 60 point font size is recommended

 

Content Layout

  • Printed in portrait format

  • Be readable at a distance of one meter away

  • Logically structured from top to bottom, or  easily-to-follow logical structured

  • 24 to 32 font size single spaced is recommended

 

Word limitation

  • Title: NO more than 15 words or 200 characters

  • Content:  NO more than 1000 words

  • submissions exceeding this threshold will be rejected without exception**

 

Poster structure

Aims and objective:

  • Outlines the hypothesis and goals of the study

 

Methods and material:

  • This section should be given in sufficient detail to permit repetition of the experimental work.

 

Results

  • Describe the outcome of the study.

  • Data should be presented as concisely as possible in the form of tables, graphs, charts or figures (where applicable)

 

Conclusion

  • Discusses the interpretation of results and their significance with reference to other cited work.

  • The final paragraph should include a concise, succinct statement which summaries the significance of the results in terms of the original hypothesis and explains any unexpected results

References

  • Recent literature should be cited to support the presented material (up to 20 references)

 

Miscellaneous 

  • Must be up-to-date, even if the topic or images refer to old or historical procedures

  • Confidentiality of the sample patient is crucially vital.

  • Contain contact information of main author

  • Contain author’s name and affiliates
